CELEBRATING IDEAS IN AUSTIN, Y’ALL
On June 27, creators in the South took home more than $1 million in funding for their innovative projects, while the local community rallied around them in support and recognition.
What went down
Guests at our Austin event got the full Creator Awards experience starting the moment they ascended the staircase at ACL Live at the Moody Theatre. From the Creator Market full of goods by Southern designers to the high-energy job fair featuring more than a dozen forward-thinking companies, the evening was all about fostering community and connection.
Locals conversed over free-flowing queso dip and margaritas, actress Sophia Bush and Chef Tyson Cole hosted Master Classes, and a packed audience (including Austin Mayor Steve Adler) watched as creators in a range of industries pitched their ideas and won big. The Knocks closed out the evening with a live performance that had the crowd moving and dancing to the beat of the future.
Creator Awards recipients from the Southern region are working on projects that run the gamut from reimagining the way farm animals are fed to rethinking the way we park our cars. See the full list of winners below.
