GOING BIG IN THE BIG APPLE
On November 16, WeWork awarded more than $1.5 million to innovators from both coasts at the NYC Creator Awards.
What went down
The line was down the block as WeWork’s Creator Awards took over Skylight Clarkson Sq in SoHo, offering New Yorkers the chance to celebrate big ideas with ample music, food, and networking opportunities—plus an inspiration-filled ceremony honoring some of America’s top creators. From complimentary headshots to a pop-up market and job fair featuring an impressive roster of companies, the evening got off to a roaring start.
After master classes by the likes of mega entrepreneurs and hip-hop fashion legend Dapper Dan, it was time for the big awards show. Live pitches, live music, and funding that totaled nearly $50K per minute made the official ceremony especially memorable, with a surprise performance by T-Pain to close out the evening.
