Israeli Innovators Take Center Stage

October 26 marked the first-ever Tel Aviv Creator Awards, where WeWork pledged more than $1 million to Israeli businesses, nonprofits, and mission-led endeavors.

What went down

We paved the way to the official awards ceremony with community-building events highlighting creators from every industry. Musical instrument makers and doll designers sold their goods alongside other small businesses at our pop-up market; forward-thinking companies highlighted employment opportunities at the job fair; and guests enjoyed an array of international cuisine while sipping on locally brewed beer.

Throughout the evening, we also hosted a series of master classes homing in on the idea of unconventional creativity, with expertise from entrepreneur Shai Agassi, musician Aviv Geffen, and WeWork co-founder Adam Neumann, among others. After taking in all the sights and sounds, the crowd was ready to see who would go home with funding—and our Creator Awards finalists brought the competition with passionate live pitches and innovative ideas to back them up. In the end, we supported more than 15 projects and celebrated the winners in true WeWork style.
